The Ice Cream Festival: A Scoop of Nicosia was held for the sixth time with great success. The event took place on the 20th of September at Famagusta Gate. Mayor of Nicosia Mr. Constantinos Giorkatzis commenced the event. At the end of the commencement, Mr. Panayiotis Papaphilippou – President of the Cyprus Ice Cream Association and the General Manager of our company – was honoured for his long-time contribution to the Ice Cream Industry in Cyprus.

Within our expansion policy abroad, we participate annually at various exhibitions abroad. In 2014, we participated in Australia’s largest annual food industry trade between the 15th and the 18th September, among 874 exhibitors. Fine Food Australia 2014 was held in Melbourne and we had the chance to present our products and seek new partners in Australia and New Zealand. At this exhibition we had the chance to present our new product launches.

Dog adoption evening

PAPAFiLiPOU Luna Park in cooperation with Nicosia Dog Shelter organised on Friday evening the 13th of June adoption evening! The event took place on Themis Drakos Park, next to the Luna Park.

During the event, visitors had the chance to play with the shelter’s dogs, draw on T-shirts and make ice cream from various ingredients.

PAPAFiLiPOU Luna Park awarded the three children who created the “best” ice cream.

On the 26th of April 2014, PAPAFiLiPOU Luna Park, did a live link with Love Fm music station. For two hours, taste and music became one with Tasos Trifonos and Loizos Michailides as the hosts.

A lot of people came by and they enjoyed for free the new PAPAFiLiPOU Frozen Yogurts: Strawberry Swirl and Forest Fruits Swirl as well as the fat free ice cream. The young children had fun with Mickey and Mini.

Year by year, Ice Cream Festival: A Scoop of Nicosia becomes more and more successful. On the 28th of September visitors of all ages had a great evening since they had the chance to enjoy free ice cream as well as various other delicacies which were accompanied with ice cream. Besides free ice cream, visitors enjoyed music and for the kids there were stilt walkers, face paintings and painting.

First aid at workplace seminars

Some of the company’s personnel, who are in such positions that may need to provide first aid, participate in first aid seminars so as to be able to help in emergency cases. Having these in mind, our company organises annually, another seminar on how to use automatic external defibrillator in our Luna Park premises. Complying with the legislations, we organise seminars every year for our personnel in order to refresh their knowledge on how to use it properly.

3rd Pan-Hellenic Innovation & Growth Convention

One more award for our Company, this time from Greece. Our Company was honoured in the 3rd Pan-Hellenic Innovation & Growth Convention, organised by the online channel ka-business.gr.

In the Convention held in Thessaloniki on the 9th of November 2012, Mr. Papaphilippou was present, since Cyprus was the country of honour and our company was honoured for its contribution to the development of entrepreneurship for making lactose free ice cream for the first time in Europe.

On the 29th of September took place for another year the Ice Cream Festival and more than 10.000 people attended this successful event at Famagusta Gate. Visitors got the chance to spend a nice evening by enjoying plenty of free ice cream. The photography exhibition about ice cream took place before the Ice Cream Festival and it was equivalently successful with the festival. Exhibitions’ participants and visitors exceeded the previous years’ participations.

In 2011, our company started co-operating with Carrefour Greece by providing strawberry, lemon, mastic, rose and yogurt with honey and walnuts in family packages of 850ml and we provided in packages of 500ml Nostalgìa® Lactose Free, Vanilla and Oreo Cookies.

In June 2012, we created our first shops inside the stores of Carrefour Planet in Geraka and in Alimos. There, we sell ice cream in the traditional way of ice cream cones or in family packages with a range of 18 flavours.
